Our History & Heritage
Foxdale Village began in 1985 as the dream of some members of the State College Friends Meeting. Our community is modeled after other Quaker-directed communities in southeast Pennsylvania. After much planning and guidance from these communities, Foxdale's construction began in 1987 and was completed in 1990.
Today, Foxdale Village offers residential living in 148 garden apartments for those age 65 and over (for double occupancy, one applicant must be over 65 and the other over 62). We’ve also launched plans for an expansion, which includes a new attached apartment building that is being designed with patios, balconies and central courtyards to maintain Foxdale’s popular neighborhood feel.
