Be a Student Again

You can be a student again – if you’d like. Penn State's "Go Sixty" program accepts senior citizens free of charge for registration in its classes on a space available basis, and the university's Elderhostel programs are open to seniors at a reduced "commuter" rate. Under their continuing education programs, both the university and the State College Area School District offer courses on many subjects.

Celebrate Learning

Celebrate the joy of learning at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Penn State. Take a class in Art, Music, History, Politics, Cooking, Literature, or Gardening – to name just a few. Or take advantage of OLLI’s other activities, such as hiking trips, dinner theaters or reading groups. OLLI provides a variety of educational and social activities that accentuate the joy of learning and personal fulfillment. Many of OLLI’s classes are held right here at Foxdale. OLLI at Penn State is one of more than 100 lifelong learning institutes across the nation that is supported by a grant from the Bernard Osher Foundation.
