A Caring Community

Foxdale Village is a not-for-profit Quaker-directed continuing care retirement community. Through community services and programs, Foxdale provides for the social, spiritual, nutritional, residential, wellness and health care needs of older people at reasonable cost while providing a supportive working environment for employees. Our community is based on Quaker values and Quaker conviction that all people are to be treated with dignity and loving respect.
“The founders of Foxdale contributed time, talent and treasure to create a caring community. Over the following two decades gifts have made a difference in the lives of Foxdale residents and staff.”
- Bill James, CEO

Crafting Your Legacy

Bequests

Preparing your estate plan can be a difficult process and is typically a time of deep reflection as you seek to craft both your personal and financial legacy. Foxdale provides the attached documents to assist with the process. Donors considering crafting a legacy that includes Foxdale might consider the following ways to give:

1. state a specific amount in your will, e.g., $10,000
2. leave a percentage of your estate, e.g., 25% or
3. leave the residuum of your estate to Foxdale.

Donors who choose to support a specific fund are encouraged to include the name of the fund in their will. Sample bequest language: I (NAME) bequeath $10,000 to Foxdale Village to be directed to The Community Fund.

For more information, and to begin planning your estate plan feel free to use our "Crafting Your Legacy" Handout.

Charitable Gift Annuities

A charitable gift annuity is a contract (not a "trust"), under which a charity, in return for a transfer of cash, marketable securities or other assets, agrees to pay a fixed amount of money to one or two individuals, for their lifetime. (American Council on Gift Annuities)

For more information about Charitable Gift Annuities, please refer to our Charitable Gift Annuity Information Sheet or visit http://www.acga-web.org/

Charitable Trusts

Charitable remainder trusts and charitable lead trusts are two examples of other ways in which donors can make a gift to benefit Foxdale and/or other 501(c)(3) organizations.

Life Insurance

It is possible to make a gift by: (1) funding a new policy and naming Foxdale as the owner and/or beneficiary or (2) naming Foxdale as the beneficiary of a fully paid up policy.

Real Estate

Donors who own a farm, second home, etc. may be able to employ real estate to make a gift. For more information, contact the Sophie Penney, Director of Development

Some gifts are more advantageous or problematic for donors. Foxdale urges prospective donors to consult with their advisers prior to making a gift.

Foxdale is not able to accept all gifts, please read the Gift Acceptance Policy and refer to the Gift Receipt Form
