DESCRIPTION:We are fortunate enough to live in a beautiful area. Unfortunately\, some beautiful plants\, including trees and shrubs\, that were intentionally and responsibly planted have subsequently been identified as being invasive. They have escaped cultivation and have had a negative impact on our environment. \n\n\n\nDr. Kim Steiner\, the former director of The Arboretum at Penn State\, will provide an overview of the problems created by invasive plants and their impact on the wider environment. \n\n\n\nThis program is free and open to the public.

SUMMARY:Watercolor Paintings by Brenda Horner
DESCRIPTION:Foxdale Village welcomes Brenda Horner to the second floor art gallery. The show and reception are free and open to the public. Growing up on a family farm in rural Bellefonte\, Brenda Horner developed a deep appreciation for the beauty of the natural world\, finding inspiration in the fields\, fencerows\, and landscapes that surrounded her. After rediscovering her creative passion through calligraphy and hand-lettering\, she began exploring watercolor\, a medium that quickly became central to her artistic expression. \n\n\n\nA self-taught watercolor artist\, Brenda is drawn to the luminous\, transparent qualities of watercolor and embraces its natural movement and spontaneity. Her work is inspired by the beauty found in everyday moments\, with each painting reflecting her personal interpretation of nature and the emotions it evokes. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVisiting hours are from 8:00am – 5:00pm weekdays and from noon until 4:00pm on weekends\, September 21 – November 19\, 2026.
