Paul Takac

January 18 @ 7:00 pm 8:00 pm

Learn how our state government is tackling the climate crisis.

Pennsylvania House Representative, Paul Takac, will be speaking in the Foxdale Village Auditorium at 7pm on January 18, 2024.

The State College Friends Meeting Climate Justice Working Group and Adult Religious Education Committee are collaborating with Foxdale’s Climate Care, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Green Committees to co-sponsor this event. Please be aware that attendance is limited to 120 people. This presentation will be in person only.

Representative Takac is working in a bipartisan manner, collaborating to shepherd climate legislation in the Climate Caucus and as a member of the Environmental Conservation & Energy Committee.

Some topics to be addressed are: PA’s plan to transition off fossil fuels while maintaining energy supply; attention and action to mitigate unequal impact on disadvantaged PA residents; steps to promote equity; the points of public leverage for facilitating change on climate-positive policy; and where PA is not on track to meet net-zero goals given the worsening of the state of the climate.

Please join us to learn how our representatives and our tax dollars are being used effectively to improve our current and future with a climate range for healthy living for all.
